LSM, Lee's Sheet Metal strives to be more energy efficient and practices methods to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

For many years LSM has been committed to minimizing our impact on our community's landfills by sorting and recycling all metal, cardboard, paper and wood products.

Our Manufacturing Shop utilizes a "solar wall" that preheats incoming ventilation air which reduces the heating requirements for the shop (Solar Wall website: www.solarwall.com).

Our Residential Department sells high efficient heating and cooling equipment and participates in the Green Built new home construction program in the Grande Prairie area.

Lee's Sheet Metal is proud to be a supporter of "Alberta's Promise" Campaign. This is a program wherein businesses commit to building a better future for children. Some of the initiatives in this campaign include: giving Alberta's children a healthy start and a promising future, creating safe and healthy communities for our children's growth, education and development, donating time towards mentorship programs, volunteering in the community, and finally leadership and innovation.



In 1964, when Lee Merlo owned and operated Lee's Sheet Metal, things were a bit different. There were only 4 employees and 2 departments: Residential, and Commercial HVAC. You could get a furnace for about $250.00. LSM's shop was only about 2000 sq ft and located on the south side of Grande Prairie. Grande Prairie had a population of about 8000.

LSM has come a long way since those early days, and provides a level of service, experience and quality that simply cannot be found elsewhere! The statement "Quality proven over time..." has never been truer than today as the quality and workmanship of LSM's work has reached a standard of excellence that we at LSM are absolutely committed to maintaining and preserving our customer relationships.

Now, Lee's Sheet Metal is LSM, and is owned and operated by partners Peter Merlo and Dale Sheridan. LSM has close to 100 employees and we're celebrating our 40th anniversary. Our Shop and office is about 27,000 sq ft, and is located on the west side in the Industrial Park. LSM's current divisions include: Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Service, Manufactured Products, and Powder Coat Painting. The average cost of a high efficiency furnace is now $1750.00. Grande Prairie has an ever-increasing population of about 43,000 people. LSM continues to fulfill it's role as a diverse, community-minded company that will grow with the community in which we serve and reside.
