At LSM we feel that it’s important to support the community during bad times as well as good. It just makes sense that the need is highest when times are tough. In addition to monetary support LSM employees are proud to contribute volunteer time in support of Community Groups and Agencies such as: the Community Foundation (Pete Merlo, Ambassador), Grande Prairie Regional College (Pete Merlo, Board Member), STARS (Pete Merlo, Advisory Committee), Grande Prairie Homebuilders (Gordy Provencher, President), Grande Prairie Construction Association (Brian Freemark, President).
LSM was presented with the bronze Quantum Leap Award at the United Way Awards Banquet. Dee Chailler, Manager of Safety and HR Dept, accepted this award on LSM’s behalf. This award recognizes the contribution of LSM and in particular LSM employees in increasing our giving to the Community. Our 2008 campaign raised $16,760.00 which signaled a 42% increase from the prior year. ![]() From left to right: Harold Friesen (Grande Prairie Downtown Association, award sponsor), Fred Huber (London Drugs), Dee Chailler (LSM), Chris Antonio (Spartan Controls), Cyril Gurevitch (United Way Board Chair).
