Extremely Durable

Powder coatings are extremely resistant to cracking, peeling, abrasion, corrosion, and chemical damage. Colours stay bright and vibrant longer.

Powder coating is applied thicker than liquid paint (usually 3-4 mils compared to 1-2 mils) and powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than liquid paint and other finishes. Powder coating is more versatile than liquid paint, and can be used on springs without cracking the coating.

Powder coating gives consumers, businesses, and industry one of the most economical, longest-lasting, and most colour-durable finishes available.

Variety of Colours and Textures

Colour selection is almost unlimited with high and low gloss, metallic, and clear finishes available. We can also do a two- or three-tone paint technique. Texture selections range from smooth surfaces to a wrinkled or matte finish, and rough textures designed for hiding surface imperfections. Virtually any colour, texture and gloss level can be custom matched. Due to the process involved in manufacturing powder resin, custom colours can be more costly unless you have a large order.

Powder coating is a tough, long-lasting finish that looks great. It’s a solvent free, environmentally friendly, dry finishing process. You can find it on many products you see and use every day, from auto parts to patio furniture.

Fine pigment particles are mixed with resin and electrostatically charged. These particles are sprayed on, and cling to, the electrically grounded metal surface. The item is placed in a curing oven to melt and fuse the particles into a solid, durable coating.

We offer powder coating in a wide variety of colours and finishes and we can apply it to many different metal products. It’s a superior finish that will protect your valued metalwork for years.

We can powder coat very large items. Our oven is 10 ft. wide x 20 ft. long x 10 ft. high.

What Can Be Powder Coated?

Any objects made from metal (aluminum, steel, brass, copper, bronze, titanium, magnesium, etc.) can be powder coated. All of these metals, weather sand, die, investment casting, extruded, forged, and of course billet metals can be powder coated. Low-density cast parts may require additional handling and surface restoration by the experienced technicians at LSM Powder Coating.

Any metal object that can hold an electrostatic charge and withstand the heat of the curing process can be powder coated. Powder can be applied to intricate surfaces and still maintain a uniform finish across the entire piece. Powder coating is ideal for items such as: patio and indoor furniture, decorative architectural pieces, car, boat, plane, bicycle and motorcycle parts (including chassis, frames and exhaust systems), wrought iron gates and fencing, birdcages, wheels, doors, plumbing and lighting fixtures, hand rails, metal cabinetry, front and side panels of ranges and refrigerators, washer tops and lids, dryer drums, air conditioner cabinets, water heaters, dishwasher racks, cavities of microwave ovens, and much, much more!   Click here to view our photo album.
