Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker 1st or 2nd yr

The laborer (with the intention to sign up for an apprenticeship) or the Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker shall gain knowledge and skills, working under the direction of a Journeyman. They shall be responsible for performing general duties as requested, which include, but are not limited to:

*Perform a variety of sheet metal fabrication or installation processes to fill the needs, specifications,s and quality requirements of the customer.

*Communicate with customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.

*Ensure the information for completing your duties with respect to each project has been explained fully to you, if unsure ask.

*Follow Job Procedures and Safe Work Practices to assist in completing the tasks asked of you in a safe manner.

*Must have a clean valid class 5 driver’s license

*Ensure a complete record of your “Time” and the “Materials” you have used.

*Attend safety meetings, perform required safety inspections and participate in the safety program.

*Comply with rules and regulations as set by LSM and Alberta Occupational Health & Safety.

*Do Hazard Assessments at the start of all projects.
