Labourer (intention to sign up for apprenticeship) 1st or 2nd year Residential Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker

The Labourer (with intention to sign up for an apprenticeship) or the 1st or 2nd year Residential Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker shall gain knowledge and skills, working under the direction of a Journeyman. They shall be responsible for performing general duties as requested, which include, but are not limited to:

*Perform a variety of sheet metal fabrication or installation processes to fill the needs, specification and quality requirements of the customer.

*Communicate with customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.

*Ensure the information for completing your duties with respect to each project has been explained fully to you, if unsure ask.

*Follow Job Procedures and Safe Work Practices to assist in completing the tasks asked of you in a safe manner.

*Ensure a complete record of your “Time” and the “Materials” you have used.

*Attend safety meetings, perform required safety inspections and participate in the safety program.

*Comply with rules and regulations as set by LSM and Alberta Occupational Health & Safety.
